This year the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Shelby Township will offer the unique opportunity to participate first hand in a landmark study, the Cancer Prevention Study-3(CPS-3), which is a long term study for ages 30- 65 who have never been diagnosed with cancer.

Enrollment will be at the event at River Bends Park, on May 19 from 1 - 5 p.m. Or you can pre-register by calling Dorothy Busignani at 248-663-3418. 

At the event you will be asked to read and sign an informed consent form, complete a brief written survey, provide some physical measurements, and give a small blood sample which will be drawn by a trained, certified phlebotomist.  You will be given a more detailed survey to take home and complete.  Periodically, you will receive a survey at home to update that information.  That is it...please consider being part of this historic opportunity to save lives and fight for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. 

CPS-3 is something we can do to help in the fight.
