Department of Roads Alerts Drivers to Painting Projects

The Macomb County Department of Roads announced today that RS Contracting will be conducting pavement marking work on various roads throughout Macomb County beginning in mid-July. Pavement marking operations are expected to continue through late August.

For the convenience of the driving public, roads that are being painted will remain open, however, the department does ask for cooperation and patience from motorists while painting takes place.

Drivers should remain an adequate distance from the paint crew vehicles and avoid crossing lines that have just been painted. Although water-based paint is used, it can be difficult to remove from vehicles after drying.

Cheers,
Glad to hear about the new highway painting. It is the hope of the 5,000 bicyclists of Macomb County that bicycle lanes are also included for safety and protection. This will also give us more respect from the 4 wheeled individuals.
Thank you,
