Baby Clothing Thieves Hit Carter's in Utica 2x in a Week

Carter's in Utica has reported two robberies in the past week.

The Utica police are looking for three women who stole baby clothing from Carter's in Utica.

The manager told police that on Sept. 5, two women were spotted running out of the store with about $200 worth in baby clothing.

Employees described the women as black, and one was pregnant about eight months pregnant. Another woman, who was in her 20s or 30s was described as tall, and had tatoos on her neck and arms. A detailed description of the third woman was not provided.

Police said the woman ran into a silver Chevy Traverse parked in the lot. The manager of the Troy Carter's store told Utica police the three women were previously at that location inquiring about a job.

The week before, the Utica police arrested three women who had gone on a crime spree and stole about $700 worth of children's clothing at Carter's Babies R Us, Gymboree and the Children's Place.
