Candidate Compares State Rep. Pete Lund to Devil in Campaign Literature
Shelby Township's representative Pete Lund has been compared to the devil in recent campaign attacks put out by his opponent Tadd Siglow.
The race for District 36 has heated up with campaign mailers representing current Republican Shelby Township State Representative Pete Lund as the devil.
Lund's opponent and candidate for District 36 Tadd Siglow told WDIV-TV that he didn't feel his negative attacks have crossed the line.
Lund and Siglow, both republicans, are running against Democrats Brian Senia and Robert Murphy in the Aug. 7 primary election.

Do you think negative campaign ads get through to voters?

the problem with Pete Lund is the amount of money he accepts from the insurance companies. Pete chairs the insurance committee and should distance himself from any appearance of shared interest. The Senate passed a bill by 100% approval geared toward reigning in insurance company outsourcing practices Why would Pete not allow the bill to come out of his committee? Why not at least allow the house to vote on a passed Senate bill. Who does Pete seem to represent? For government to truly work for everyone it should be allowed to work completely. Pete responds to concerns with an if and when response while the problem is here and now. Pete has forgotten that all politics is local.

Pete Lund also voted NO on 4 consecutive bills that would hold private insurers such as Blue Cross or HAP responsible for reimbursing providers that treat Autism and diseases related to Autism. Pete in fact voted NO to recognize Autism as a Disease! What should you call this guys politics? I think the card is fitting!

LET ME GUESS. Those were bills that originated in the house not the Senate. There was no way Pete could sit on it if it did not come out of his committee. At least he voted.
Why do the insurance companies run this state? Follow the Money.....People should put themselves above the appearance of being influenced by partisan special interest money. Pete;let them vote. Don't be like those you and I both rail against..
