Comcast opened a new Xfinity Customer Center on Hall Road Monday that allows customers to pay bills and exchange equipment, but also experience the company's products on iPads, laptops and large-screen televisions.

The new 3,600-square-foot facility is located opposite The Mall at Partridge Creek at 17613 Hall Road in Macomb Township and utilizes a variety of technologies to serve customers. Inside the center there is a self-service kiosk to pay bills and an electronic queuing system for check-in, along with displays of 3D cable service, iPad apps and the company's home security system.

These features are set in comfortable seating areas that feature sofas and chairs located around the informational kiosks.

"This 3,600-square-foot center was built with the customer in mind," said Jan Thompson, senior director, business operations at Comcast.

The new center is open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

As part of the opening week activities, the center will host a grand opening celebration Saturday with appearances by retired Detroit Red Wing Tomas Holmstrom, Tigers mascot Paws and various giveaways.
