Family Accused of Running Drug Enterprise out of Shelby Gas Station Arraigned

Five people were arraigned in 41-A District Court in Shelby Township on charges ranging from running a drug house out of a Shelby Township gas station and smoke shop and selling illegal drugs.

Five family members accused of selling K2 and other drugs out of a Shelby Township gas station and smoke shop have been arraigned in 41-A District Court Tuesday on several drug charges.

Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith said the family, a mother, her two sons and two grandsons ran a drug enterprise out of the Citgo Gas Station and Woodstock Smoke Shop, which is about 100 feet away, on Van Dyke Avenue and 21 Mile Road.

  • Faize Dabish, 63, of West Bloomfield was arraigned on a felony charge of controlled substances - delivering and manufacturing, a charge that carries up to seven years and/or a $10,000 fine and a misdemeanor charge of maintaining a drug house, which carries a two-year jail sentence and or a $25,000 fine.
  • David Dabish, 39, of West Bloomfield was arraigned on charges of controlled substance - delivering and manufacturing, a charge that carries up to seven years and/or a $10,000 fine; controlled substance - possession and analogues, a felony that carries up to two-years in prison and/or a $2,000 fine and a misdemeanor charge of maintaining a drug house, which carries a two-year jail sentence and/or a $25,000 fine.
  • Dabish Dabish, 35, of Sterling Heights was arraigned on charges of controlled substances - delivering and manufacturing, a charge that carries up to seven years and/or a $10,000 fine; controlled substance - possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor that carries up to one-year in prison and/or a $2,000 fine, and a misdemeanor charge of maintaining a drug house, which carries a two-year jail sentence and/or a $25,000 fine.
  • Audrick Dabish, 18, of Sterling Heights was arraigned on charges of controlled substances - delivering and manufacturing, a charge that carries up to seven-years and/or a $10,000 fine; controlled substance- delivering and manufacturing marijuana, a felony that carries up to four-years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine; controlled substance - possession of methamphetamine and ecstasy, a felony that carries up to ten-years in prison and/or $15,000 fine and assaulting, resisting and obstructing a police officer, a felony that carries up to two-years in jail and/or $2,000 fine.
  • Dedrick Dabish, 17, of Sterling Heights was arraigned on charges of controlled substance - possession and analogues, a felony that carries up to two years in prison and or a $2,000 fine.

All five were released on a $10,000 personal bond except, Dabish Dabish, who was released on a $10,000 cash/surety bond and sent home with a tether.

They are due back in court on Jan. 31, 2012 for a preliminary trial.

“We’re excited to see them finally get into the court system,” said Shelby Township Police Chief Roland Woelkers.

Investigators said the suspects have been distributing synthetic marijuana, also known as K2/Spice, cocaine, ecstasy, hydrocodone and marijuana out of their stores for several months.

Tuesday's arraignment was the result of a months-long, multi-jurisdictional investigation led by the Shelby Township police and the Drug Enforcement Agency.

“We will take down anyone who attempts to distribute this insidious drug,” said Smith.

Sickening ... what a horrible, horrible mother and grandmother Faize Dabish is ... and the men are no better because they're all old enough to know right from wrong. I just hope they receive harsh sentences, and not the usually-soft ones that the Macomb Co prosecuting attorney is known to hand out in plea deals, or the "slaps on the wrist" that Macomb Co judges give out, despite what "Sentencing Guidelines" call for (except for Mary Chrzanowski - we can only hope and pray they all have to be sentenced by her! Yay Judge Chrzanowski!)

I hope the sheriff digs deep to find out who was supplying them with the prescription hydrocodone they were selling - from "doctor" Sam Awadi, perhaps?? (the Shi'ite Muslim recently arrested at one of his offices in Warren for prescription fraud, among other things, and has sent millions of dollars to his Hezbollah terrorist relatives/cohorts in Lebanon). And find out what they've been doing with THEIR money (hopefully not funding terrorists, as well). And if they do not have citizenship here, DEPORT them, immediately!! (if they are, but not due to being BORN here, REVOKE their citizenship and deport them!!)

why dont they deport the lunatic that shot up the elementary school?? dont you think that's a little "sickening" i think your thoughts are "sickening" to be honest, they are all innocent until proven guilty, that's how are wonderful judicial system works, you have no clue to whats behind this story and what the facts are so you should think before you speak (or in this case, type!) More than likely, these individuals will cop plea bargains and will receive no jail time under the sentencing guidelines (sorry to burst your bubble) and learn there lesson from this, and chances are you will continue to be an uneducated, ignorant, selfish individual who associates Chaldeans who ALLEGEDLY sold K2 with Muslim terrorist, SMH your so sad

why dont they deport the lunatic that shot up the elementary school?? my bad they cant the jerk took his life, thats fine, i have plenty of examples of lunatics that shoot up innocent people, the colorado theater killer? A former student at a Christian college fatally shoots seven people and injures three in April 2012? A white supremacist shoots six people and a responding policeman at a Sikh temple before shooting himself in the head in August 2012? You do notice the pattern of ethnicity that each murder holds dont you?

Erica, They have had NO regard for anyone while making hundreds of thousands off kids, peddling synthetics despite thier damage (encouraging it to children under 18, as young as 11 that I know of) and also selling illegal drugs and synthetics after they were illegal. Your family can do business with them but you need to get your facts straight. People are not selling guns to kids out of a gas stations to children in our neighborhood. They deserve the harshest, most expensive punishment available. Jerks, i'm glad they are finally going through the system.

I'd love to hear your explanation on how this worthless family is being harassed. The DEA built up a case against these turds and confiscated illicit material, including a sizable amount of cocaine. Yes, they are innocent until proven guilty, but can't you see the writing on the wall? Erica, please enlighten us. How are these drug dealers being harassed exactly?

They will not qualify for the hydra the community will be there to apply as much pressure to the prosecutors to charge and convict them to full extent of the law. The one kid obstructed justice and resisted arrest.

Erica, you don't get it do you? People cannot sell something that is ILLEGAL...plain and simple. If they are like family, then you can contribute to their defense fund. Just remember, everyone has some relatives that they are not proud of.

Btw, it's not harassment to enjoy seeing law breakers go to jail. It's actually very refreshing. K2 is for simpleton losers anyway. Anyone who uses it doesn't have much going for them. Glad to see the police cracking down on the losers who sell it too.

Next week after CITGO removed their signs I hope that the community will stop supporting the drug dealers. I hope that the government will seize both busineses since drug money may have been used to fund the operations.

All of you are very ignorant. You have no idea what happened, and for you to just sit here and bash this family shame on you!! We are all human and make mistakes, but you don't even know if they made the mistake. I have done business with them for years and have always been shown respect. They have done good things for the community and their business is a Great asset to our community. When you live in a small area like Utica I guess it isn't hard I become a narrow minded freak who feeds on any negetive news in your area. Get a job make utilize your time somewhere else instead of spending all day talkin garbage in here. Get some money THEY ARE!!

The DEA seized lots of positive synthetic drugs from them. A search warrant could not be issued until the result came back from the State Lab. I fully agree they are innocent until proven guilty in the court. Rest assured this community will be at the hearing pushing for full sentencing. Tell me how the families that have been torn apart by this drug is going to heal?

As far as I am concern this damage is even more devastating than the Sandy Hook shooting. Many more life's have been destroyed by the synthetic drugs. Is it acceptable to sell drugs in our community.

Anyone that is not from the Utica/Shelby have no Idea what the whole truth is, sad they were in trouble with having the case taken off the shelves and put in storage. They did not throw it in the dumpster so people could not get it. The Police assumed they were dealing drugs just because they had the box of K2. This world will never have peace when there are so many racists.

I think you're getting probable cause and assumptions mixed up. Above and beyond probable cause, police were getting complaints about this store selling to their kids AFTER they claimed they had removed the product. Doesn't it seem PROBABLE that there might be more going on? Time for a search warrant! Oh, hey, look at what we found! Drugs!

Who's being a racist? Let's see... they got busted for selling K2, they said they got rid of it, they continued to sell K2 (among other drugs) and they got busted again. Where does race play into that?

How about we call a spade a spade? They're nothing more than drug dealing trash, and for some reason, you defend AND support their business. Why do you feel compelled to defend this trash? They got caught selling and warehousing drugs in our community. What's so hard to comprehend? I don't care about their ethnic or racial makeup; they're criminals!

Sure, they'll have their day in court, but I think the pressure of the community will result in the harshest of sentences once they're found guilty.

No Janet, I guess we cannot fix you.

Doing business with someone that is selling illegal drugs is just wrong. By doing business with them, you give them more money to further their illegal business. This is not racism (so don't play that card) -- this is a case of getting trash out of neighborhoods.

It's funny -- people drink, drive and run into a building and they have defenders telling everyone to "layoff....they are good people". Old people get "confused" and kill someone with their car and everyone says to "layoff.... they are good people". Someone robs a store in broad daylight and people say to "layoff...they are good people, you just don't know them". People sell drugs from their gas station and get caught and defenders say, "layoff -- they are an asset to our community". Go figure.

IF if looks like a pig, sounds like a pig, and smells like a pig -- it's probably a pig.

The illegal aliens and shady Chaldeans from West Bloomfield come to Shelby to sell their poison to the naive kids around here, then pay their Chaldean or Jewish attornies, friends or neighbors no doubt, to stay out of jail. Folks, if you want this scum out of your city, only buy gas at Krogers, Meiers or Speedway. If a gas stationn is franchised, it's Chaldean owned. Chaldean are the Jews of the middle east, that's why they all left Iraq and ended up here, to steal your money and lives.

I know E85 isn't perfect, but it is a start. There is not way I am going to drive some tiny econobox, so this is my way to have my full size 4x4 and hurt OPEC a little bit in the process.

Oh yeah... And what do you mean by snitches? Are you referring to the parents that picketed the store in an attempt to bring attention to the poison they were selling? What about the upright and outstanding citizens that don't want drug dealers in their neighborhood? So, please enlighten me; are citizens NOT supposed to report crimes for fear that you'll call them out as snitches? Please... that's just absurd.

I sure hope you don't have children. If you have it your way, they'll just be able to head over to this drug shack and grab an eight ball. Too bad there aren't more "snitches" out there to report legitimate crimes.

When this thing goes to trial, their businesses will be shut down, and you'll be forced to finance some other drug ring.

Do you expect the guilty to go unpunished? Maybe you should talk to your father in law, who you previously stated was a cop, and see what he has to say about these fine and upstanding citizens who profit off of the drug use (not just K2 mind you, they were dealing cocaine too!) of our community's children.

I don't care what race a drug dealer is. We should just send them somewhere else other than here.
