Mother Cited for Operating While Intoxicated, Child Endangerment
Greicy Yureimy Gutierrez, 23, of Shelby Township was pulled over Thursday night in Troy after her truck struck a curb; Troy Police say her child was in the vehicle with her at the time.
Troy Police pulled over 23-year-old Shelby Township resident Greicy Yureimy Gutierrez just before midnight Thursday after her pickup struck a curb near Rochester Road and Player Drive, according to Troy Police.
Gutierrez, whose 3-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time, "blew a .11" on the preliminary breath test, said Andy Breidenich, public information officer for the Troy Police Department. Michigan's legal limit for blood-alcohol content is .08.
Gutierrez, who told police she was returning from a soccer game, was cited for operating while intoxicated and child endangerment. The child was turned over to his father, according to police.
“She admitted to having a beer," Breidenich said.
Gutierrez was arraigned at 52-4 District Court and was released on $1,000 personal bond. She is scheduled for a pretrial hearing Jan. 12.
