Bring the family to a fun night in the park for one or all of the 2012 Family Fun Nights set for the first three Wednesdays in August. Sponsored by the Shelby Township Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department, the free family events include concerts, a free outdoor movie, and more fun. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Each event begins at 7 p.m. 

Aug. 1 -  Group Hidden Agenda performs funky music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The event takes place on the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds, located at 52700 Van Dyke Ave., south of 24 Mile. 

Aug. 8 - Park-It Family Fun Nights present “Madagascar 2 - Escape 2 Africa” at dusk. The movie will be shown on an inflatable outdoor screen at River Bends Park, south of 22 Mile west of Shelby Road. Family-friendly activities are planned prior to the show. 

Aug. 15 - Country music group Cadillac Cowboys perform at the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds.
