Shelby Township Runner Wins 2013 Lucky Leprechaun 5K in Men's Category
Jared Felts, 15, finished first among the men and second overall with a time of 19:24. The Lucky Leprechaun took place March 9 in Utica.
The streets of Utica were every shade of green this past weekend as the first-ever Lucky Leprechaun 5K brought hundreds to the downtown area for some pre-St. Patrick's Day celebration.
Boasting almost 500 participants, the event featured a 5K run/walk and "Green Mile" through the city's historic downtown.
Shelby Township resident, Jared Felts, 15, finished first among the men and second overall with a time of 19:24. Clinton Township's Danielle Miller, 21, finished first for the women and for the race overall.
