Sterling Center Carnival Kicks Off Today
The 2012 Sterling Center Carnival kicks off a two week stay today.
Crews are putting the finishing touches on the Sterling Heights Carnival, which is set to open at 4 p.m. today.
The first fair of the year, located in the Sterling Center Shopping Center on the west side of Schoenherr Road, just south of Hall Road, will run through two weekends beginning May 31 to June 10.
A $20 armband will give you unlimited access to all fair rides for a whole day and night.
A $3 discount coupon for the fair can be printed off the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce's web site.
The fair will be open 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday; noon to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
Clean restrooms will be available at the Heritage Church, which is located behind the fair.

Growing up, I had a friend who wasn't allowed to ride carnival rides. Her mom thought they weren't safe. Thoughts?
