Utica's Crittenden Finishes Third at State Meet

Utica's Joe Engel and 3,200-meter relay team and Eisenhower's Mike Kwasnik also earn all-state honors.

Athletes from Utica and Eisenhower high schools competed at the Division 1 state track and field finals on Saturday at East Kentwood.

Freddie Crittenden of Utica placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.93 seconds to earn all-state recognition.

Mike Kwasnik of Eisenhower finished seventh in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 39.911 seconds

Joe Engel of Utica finished eighth in the shot put to earn all-state honors. He had a toss of 52 feet, 5.5 inches.

Utica's 3,200-meter relay team of Chris Scott, Zac Freeland, James Abbey and Glen Scott finished eight with a time of 7:57.49.
