After discovering that the New You Body Wraps & Wellness Center is one of just two businesses in Michigan to offer detoxifying treatments like Sudatonic heat wraps and mineral wraps, I signed up to test one out.
The hour-long wraps are aimed at detoxifying the body of any impurities while promoting mental health and weight loss at the same time.
On a Friday afternoon, Patch contributor Kristen Skladd and I gave the wraps a go. I tested out the Sudatonic heat wrap, which began with a short massage. Afterward, I lay on a warm bed and was covered with a series of blankets. I remained still for the next hour while I continued to get hotter and hotter. Soft meditation music played in the background to calm my nerves while I experienced the "sweat bath."
In the end, I lost two pounds and my BMI (body mass index) went down two percentage points. Not bad for a day's work!

I think you need to say if the treatments were given freely or with a discount for writing this article, it's some kind of law thing and also you should say what the treatment would cost for those that are interested and maybe.... work out a deal so that readers of the Patch could get some kind of small discount for mentioning they saw the article here and then everybody wins....
