Viewfinder: Charge! Hundreds Storm Lutheran North Field for Egg Drop
Guests numbered in the the thousands for LakePointe Church's first-ever Egg Drop in Macomb Township.
The sky over Lutheran High School North rained eggs Saturday for LakePointe Church's first Egg Drop in Macomb Township.
Carrying Easter baskets of every shape, size and color, thousands of children and their parents lined the football field to await the helicopter that would shower hundreds of eggs onto the already egg-laden field.
Eyes were glued to the sky as the helicopter emptied bags brimming with eggs onto the field below. Once the all-clear was given, the first wave of children was sent charging onto the field to collect their 10 eggs each.
Although the event started with 20,000 eggs, not a single shell could be found on the field by the end.

My family took part in this event yesterday and we will for the following years to come. It was a great time for all! We ran into many friends and neighbors who also came to see the "shower of eggs". Ive seen nothing like it before. Although it was awesome to watch the eggs fall it was even better to capture the kids facial expression watching this event. Chalking this one up as a family favorite for sure!
