Woman Robbed, Assaulted While Dropping Off Clothing Donation
The incident happened in the drive-through area of the Rochester Hills Salvation Army store; a Shelby Township man is in custody.

A woman dropping off a donation at the Rochester Hills Salvation Army store was robbed and assaulted by a man and woman in the store's drive-through drop-off area on Wednesday night.
According to an Oakland County Sheriff's Office report, the victim was dropping off used clothes at the store, which is located on Auburn Road between Rochester and John R roads. The store has a drive-through area that allows drivers to pull up and easily unload their donations.
The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. According to the report, the woman rang the store's service bell for help with her donations when an SUV approached her vehicle. A man was driving the SUV; a woman was the passenger.
"A female got out of the SUV and began taking the bags to put them into the SUV," the report stated. "Words were exchanged between the two parties."
The woman with the donation used her cell phone to begin recording what was happening; she then approached the SUV, the report stated.
The man driving the SUV grabbed the cell phone and threw it toward the victim; he then grabbed her hair. The woman "sustained minor scratches to her arms during the incident," the report stated.
When sheriff's deputies arrived, they took the couple from the SUV into custody; the woman, a 25-year-old from Shelby Township, was released pending further investigation. The man, a 27-year-old from Shelby Township, was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail, where charges are pending.

You can't use the argument that this was "prompted by need due to the poor economy". This is a plain and simple classless act by people that have no thought process and understanding of humanity.

This is some Bull ____, thats what it is. No one cares anymore, about the law, you,me or even themselves. People have No fear of jail or anything else. Sad part about this is It's only going to get worse.

The "armpit" of Rochester Hills -- I cannot believe that area is considered "Rochester Hills". Auburn Rd = crime.

Sorry to say that this is the old part of town. Please remember this was the beginning place of this great city. Is it our fault that the City doesn't send any of our tax $$$'s to this area for upgrades? It's a shame that people like you can't see that. Do me a favor, look at the crimes in the Rochester Hills area on the patch. I don't see any in my neck of the woods (except this one), how about yours? I'm always looking for crimes in MY neighborhood because of this bad perception and I find it funny how it's always in other locations around RH. People in this neighborhood are still neighborly and willing to help someone out (not just to make a dollar). When out for walks, we see young families, smiling faces, and people actually wave and say hello, which is hard to find now a days.

What gave these 2 the right to steal the donation & carry out this attack? And why weren't their names posted? Yet the victim shouldn't have walked up to their SUV. That's asking for trouble.
