Come lend nature a helping hand with the Huron-Clinton Metroparks! Volunteers will remove invasive shrubs (like autumn-olive and buckthorn) from high quality natural areas at Stony Creek Metropark. Meet at the Nature Center at 10:00am. We’ll wrap things up by 1:00pm. Park entry is free for volunteers!
Tools, gloves, water, and snacks will be provided. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear long pants and closed toe shoes and dress for the weather. Please register with Allison Esper at allison.esper@metroparks.com or 810-227-2757 ext. 6082 by Thursday, August 2.

More About Stony Creek Metropark
Stony Creek Metropark extends across Oakland and Macomb counties with more than 4,000 acres of scenic landscape.
The six-mile trail around the 500-acre Stony Creek Lake is a favorite location for bicyclists, runners and rollerbladers.
There are also large hills for winter sports such as tobogganing and sledding.
The park features picnic tables, a nature center, mountain bike trails, a disc-golf course, an 18-hole golf course, baseball diamonds, playgrounds, soccer fields and volleyball and tennis courts.
Annual vehicle passes cost $25 and $15 for seniors. Boat passes are also available.
