The League of Women Voters Oakland Area will host a program on health care reform on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Bloomfield Township Public Library.
Marianne Udow-Phillips will be the guest speaker. Udow-Phillips is director of the Center for Healthcare Research and Transformation, a nonprofit partnership between the University of Michigan and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
Udow-Phillips will address the Affordable Care Act and proposed alternatives, and she will answer questions.
Coffee and light refreshments will be served before the presentation.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. The League never supports or opposes a candidate or political party. It influences public policy through education and advocacy, according to its website.

The Bloomfield Township Public Library is located at the southeast corner of Lone Pine and Telegraph roads.
It houses a wide selection of books, newspapers and magazines, as well as video and digital media for borrowing. The facility includes a computer lab, study rooms and public meeting rooms that can be reserved in advance.
Residency restrictions apply to some library programs and services.
