Come experience Michigan’s Lavender Festival Friday, Saturday, & Sunday July 13-15 2012 every day from 10 a.m-5 p.m. The festival will offer you a true “Symphony for the Senses” with workshops, demonstrations, cooking with lavender classes, and much more. Featuring over 80 Michigan artists, craftspeople, and local area farms, the lavender festival is proud to be a made-in-Michigan event.
Some of these Michigan Natives teaching and speaking include:
Jane Weiss- Come see a local artist painting in action between 3:30 and 4:30 every day at her VAN-GO art booth.
Anne Tullett- Friday and Saturday come experience spinning, knitting, and Weaving demonstrations.
Mike Weiss- A returnee to the festival, be amazed by the art created with wood and a chainsaw.
Dr. Sue Lawton- Learn the amazing benefits of the remarkable lavender oil, along with ways it can promote better health and wellness.
Dr. Sue Lawton & Rebecca Hintze- Come learn how to live your life happily with tips on how to generate inner strength and balance.
Pat Sagert- A certified tea etiquette consultant and herb expert demonstrates how to grow your own herbal tea garden and brew your herbs for the best flavor.
Jennifer Vasich- Author, lavender expert, and co-founder of the Michigan Lavender Festival, Vasich will share tips for growing, harvesting,and using lavender for health & enjoyment.
Jay Montgomery- Learn about the health benefits of honey and how to use it in cooking from a master beekeeper and owner of Better Bee Honey.
Paul Blake- Learn stories about the Blake Family Farm and the rich agricultural heritage of Michigan.
Carmela Will- Become an expert on propagating lavender whether you are a beginner or have been growing lavender on your own for a long time.
Joshua Rubin- Save money while enhancing any home or garden using recycled containers to make your own rain barrels, compost tumbling, drum stoves, and more.
Dr. Kathy- An interactive presentation for you and your kids, come learn how chiropractic care can create a foundation for healthy living.
Darlene Daniels- Join this class to experience yoga and the essence of the lavender fragrance.
Janice & Will Rex-Weaver- Overcome fear of childbirth learning relaxation, breathing, and visualization techniques that will help build your confidence.
