DESCRIPTION:The Shelby Township Police Department will hold a grand openi
 ng of its new Police Building during an open house on June 10 from Noon 
 until 5:00 p.m.\nThe new Police Building is located in the municipal hal
 l at 52530 Van Dyke in Shelby Township.\nAttendees will meet officers an
 d get a tour of the new facility. There will be presentations put on by 
 the Police Honor Guard\, &nbsp\;K-9 unit\, Traffic and Motor Carrier uni
 t\, as well as the Crime Prevention unit.\nThere will also be Police Veh
 icles on display\, and the department will be conducting Child Fingerpri
 nting\, for those parents who wish to have their child printed.\nA speci
 al dedication ceremony will be June 8 at 10 a.m.\nThe building will be d
 edicated to Shelby Township's first chief of police\, Robert W. Smith.
