If You Go: Shelby Township Lions Club Car Show

The annual event put on by the Shelby Township Lions Club will benefit the Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor.

For the past 18 years running, classic car fans and the charity-minded of Shelby Township have been brought together for the greater good by the Shelby Township Lions Club.

The club's 18th annual charity car show is scheduled this year for Sept. 15
at the Packard Proving Grounds (49965 Van Dyke Ave., Shelby Township). Gates open at 8 a.m. and general admission is $3. Children ages 12 and under are free. Registration ends at 11:45 a.m. and the fee for entering a vehicle in the car show is $20.

Among the amenities and entertainment is an all-you-can-eat breakfast starting at 8 a.m., 50-50 raffles, and DJ Jammin' Jerry. Trophies go to street rods, classic cars, muscle cars truck, best paint, best engine and best interior.
