Areas of Fog Possible After 10 AM Monday

As temperatures climb into the high 40s Monday morning, Shelby Township and Utica drivers could see areas of fog, according to the National Weather Service.

As temperatures rise rapidly Monday morning, motorists could face areas of fog amid a steady drizzle of rain, according to the National Weather Service

The forecast calls for rain before 10 a.m., with fog creeping in after as the temperature moves toward a high of 48 degrees. Roadways could also be slippery following last night's rain-snow mix, which dropped between 1 and 2 inches of snow across the Metro Detroit area. 

Temperatures in Shelby Township and Utica could hit the mid 50s Tuesday, with a chance of thunderstorms in the evening as very warm and moist air moves in ahead of a cold front, according to the NWS.

But don't get too excited. Winter is slated to return to the area Wednesday as temperatures drop into the 20s and snow showers return.
