Boys & Girls Club Award Scholarship
A member of the Shelby Township Boys & Girls Club recently was awarded a scholarship from Max & Erma's restaurant.
An 11-year-old member of the Vic & Lucille Wertz Boys & Girls Club in Shelby Township recently recently received a $1,000 scholarship from Max & Ermas restaurants.
Lukas Speagle, of Macomb Township, was selected as the first place winner in the restaurant's "Maximize Their Future" campaign which included a coloring contest among Boys & Girls Club of America members.
Speagle has been a member of the Shelby Township facility for the past three years, and is a fifth grade student at Ebeling Elementary School.

In addition to receiving the scholarship, his artwork will also be displayed on tables at Max & Erma's restaurants.
