The winner of the 2012 Patch Spring Grub Crawl contest is Macomb Township resident Michael Schroeder.
Schroeder and a friend will be gnashing on some free and delicious food April 25 at 10 Macomb County restaurants during the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event.
More than 30 people entered to win two free tickets to the eating extravaganza by telling Patch what their favorite restaurant in Macomb County is and why. To read viewer's responses,
Schroeder told Patch readers his favorite restaurant in Macomb County is Jaun Miguel in Clinton Township, and he wasn't alone in his opinion of the Mexican restaurant. The winner was chosen at random.
The prize, two free tickets to the event, is valued at $40.
During the bi-annual Grub Crawl, scores of people are shuttled between 10 different restaurants along Hall Road, to taste a sample of the venue's finest dishes.
Participating restaurants are:
- Cheeseburger in Paradise
- Longhorn Steakhouse
- Ichiban Japanese Bistro
- Sterling Bistro
- Wiseguy’s Bar and Grill
Tickets are being sold for $25 per person; $40 for two people or $150 for 10 people—alcohol is not included, but each restaurant will be offering drink specials.
