Grab & Go Kids Planner: We're Off to See the Wizard
This week you can journey down the yellow brick road, meet critters, support a great cause or build a tower.
Where/When: Shelby Township Library, Tuesday, March 1, 3:30-5 p.m.
Why Go: It's creative, tactile fun for the kids. They can bring their favorite building materials–LEGOs, K'Nex, wooden blocks, etc.–and build away.
Pricing: Free.
Where/When: Eisenhower High School, Thursday, March 3, 6:30-8 p.m.
Why Go: The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a source of support to anyone affected by cancer, whether they've been diagnosed with it or know someone who has had it. Support this worthy event by donating, volunteering or sponsoring, starting at this party.
Pricing: Free.
Where/When: Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center, Thursday, March 3, 10 a.m and 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: These Nature Center events are tons of fun for preschoolers and today's theme is "A Turtle's Life." Kids will learn about our shelled friends and enjoy a story and activity or craft.

Where/When: Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center, Saturday, March 5, 2-3 p.m.
Why Go: It's fun for the whole family and a chance for youngsters to discover mammals. You never know what critters will show–hedgehogs, mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs and more. Bring a camera and commemorate this fun day.
Pricing: Free, but preregistration doesn't hurt.
Where/When: Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, Saturday, March 5, 3 p.m.
Why Go: Journey somewhere over the rainbow and see this classic come to life. Watch Dorothy and Toto make their way through Oz as she befriends the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion and they battle the Wicked Witch of the West. This production boasts timeless songs, amazing effects and cool choreography.
Pricing: $15-$50.
