Macomb County Spartans Smell The Roses In Pasadena

One Michigan State Spartan player, and two staff members, from Anchor Bay High School were among the Macomb County contingent in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl.

When Michigan State defeated Stanford Wednesday in the Rose Bowl, some Macomb County residents experienced it first hand.

Taiwan Jones, a linebacker, from New Baltimore and attended Anchor Bay, and Jon Reschke, a linebacker, from Sterling Heights and attended Brother Rice, were on the roster for the Rose Bowl champion Spartans.

Brothers Jason and Justin Martin also work behind the scenes with the Spartans. Justin Martin is a 2008 graduate of Anchor Bay High School, and 2012 Michigan State University graduate. He is a full-time staff member for Michigan State football and films games, practices and prepares highlight videos, according to his mother, Linda Martin.

Jason Martin is 2012 graduate of Anchor Bay High School, and currently a sophomore at Michigan State University. He is on the video staff and films games and team practices. He also prepares recruiting material for staff.
