A 20-year-old Shelby Township woman was among several hundred contestants to put her looks and attitude to the test in an open casting call in Ferndale for America's Next Top Model's 20th cycle.

Unable to escape from her husband, a 24-year-old Utica woman text messaged her friend to dispatch police to her home at the 45000 block of Kensington around 4:40 a.m. Jan. 3. The man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon, domestic assault and possession of marijuana, according to Utica police.

Shelby Township Police Apprehend Man After High-Speed Chase

Shelby Township police arrested a 23-year-old Warren man who lead them on a high-speed chase Jan. 25 in a stolen vehicle. The driver was arrested on charges for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding, damage to police property, and driving without a license, according to police.
