Shelby Township Celebrates 30 Years of Art Fairs

The 30th Shelby Township Art Fair returns to the municipal grounds in August and features more than 80 artists, music, Detroit Institute of Arts workshop and more.

Organizers of the Shelby Township Art Fair have released details of the 30th edition of the event this August.

The Art Fair will feature nearly 80 artists exhibiting and selling their works Aug. 10-11 on the municipal grounds, organizer stated in a release.

In addition to having arts, crafts and activities for children and adults, organizers are bringing back the Michigan Made Products section this year with more than 20 Michigan-based companies and home businesses showcasing their products.

There is no charge for parking, or entry, into the fair. There will also be a free shuttle bus to take visitors from and to the free lot in the Shelby Community Center.

Additionally, the first 400 families each day will receive a sponsor “swag” tote bag filled with flyers, coupons, and promotional items, organizers added.
