The Utica Lions Club will show their claws this fall when they open a month-long hanuted house on Moscone Drive, just north of Auburn Road.
All proceeds from the Sinister Haunted House will be dedicated to charity, Presidnet of the Club, Jerry Noonan told the Utica City Council Tuesday after a public hearing on the club's temporary site plan was held.
The Council approved the Lions Club's request to use the Downtown Development Authority's land for the event.
The 3,264 square foot haunted house will be made up of temporary pods that will be bolted together and roofed. Construction on the haunted house will begin the first week of September and tear down will begin in November.
The haunted house will be open every weekend mid-September through October. The club will be selling pumkins, cider donuts, coffee and hot chocolate.
More details on the hanuted house's prices and hours will be posted when they become available.
