Winter Snow Storm Could Drop 4 to 8 Inches in Shelby-Utica Thursday
A winter storm watch has been issued from Thursday evening through Friday morning as a storm system is expected to move across the state.
Turn your PJs inside out and prepare a few ice cubes to flush down the toilet, a snow day-worthy winter storm is headed for the area that could drop 4-8 inches of snow on Macomb County Thursday night.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the county from Thursday evening through Friday morning.
There is a chance of snow before 8 a.m. Thursday, with heavier snowfall expected in the evening and throughout the night. Macomb County will likely get 3-5 inches of snow Thursday night, leaving area roads snow covered and slippery for the morning commute Friday, NWS says.

Snow showers are expected to continue before noon Friday, with new accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Despite the snow, temperatures are forecast to remain a balmy 30 degrees through Sunday.
