Macomb Literacy Partners Hosts Book Fair

Macomb Literacy Partners and Barnes & Noble in Shelby Township are teaming up for a book fair on Saturday, April 7. All day long, (9 a.m.-11 p.m.) a portion of the purchases made will benefit Macomb Literacy Partners, which helps promote and improve reading and writing skills.
 
A number of activities are also planned:

  • 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Local author Lisa Rivard will read and sign her new children’s book, “I am Stumped!”
  • 2-3 p.m.: “Meet & Eat Cheesecake” with the Macomb Literacy Partners board of directors
  • 4-6 p.m.: Rosco the Clown will present “Read to Me, Rosco!”
  • 9 a.m.-11 p.m.: To help Macomb Literacy Partners receive 10 to 20 percent of sales, shoppers can mention “Macomb Literacy Partners” or give the bookfair ID number 10729846 when making their purchases all day long at Barnes & Noble's Shelby Township store or online at www.barnesandnoble.com.

In addition, the Cheesecake Factory has cheesecakes stocked at the cafe. Guests who buy a slice of cake at the cafe, or buy or order a whole cheesecake. A portion of the sweets sales will also benefit Macomb Literacy Partners.
