"Many Moons" (family theatre production)

Many Moons is a fairy tale about Princess Lenore, who asks for the moon when she is sick. The King summons all his wise men but none of them know how to get the moon. In the end it is the Court Jester turns out to be the hero. The way in which the jester obtains the moon and the lovely philosophy that goes with it make this one of the finest plays available to children.

 A “Caldecott Medal” winning children’s literary gem, Many Moons is a charming, whimsical story with plenty of sly humor. The concept of things being “in the eye of the beholder” is well presented by american author, cartoonist, and wit, James Thurber. Truly a family show for the entire family.
