The streets of downtown Romeo will come alive with the walking dead this afternoon. Join them this weekend at Romeo's 2nd Zombie Walk.
Besides a cool gross-out event, it's also a food drive for homeless veterans, so organizers are asking participants to bring two or three non-perishable food items as their entrance fee.
Registration begins at 4 p.m., behind the Romeo Creamery at 111 S. Main, and the walk follows at 5-ish. Awards will be handed out for the best costumes, and participants will be eligible for raffle prizes.
