Kids Turn Recycled Materials into Works of Art

The Shelby Township Library's Tweens and Teens program invited Arts & Scraps of Detroit to teach a Mask and Puppets craft class to kids on July 27.

Other classes the Summer Reading Club Tweens and Teens program has done include a War and Peace Day, which involved different games and activities from other cultures. The Club also had a Candyland Class where the kids got to try different foods and treats from around the world.

While most of the classes are open to anyone in fifth grade and up that wants to stop in, the Masks and Puppets class did require students to preregister as it is one of the most popular classes.  There were 35 spots available for the 1:30 p.m. class with Arts & Scraps.

The SRC will be having its final class and accompanying finale pizza party next week.
