Photos: Art Lovers Flock to Shelby for Annual Fair

The Shelby Township art fair is in full swing and brings local and national artists to Shelby Township residents.

All things art take center stage this weekend in Shelby Township.

The is in full swing and drawing crowds and vendors from all over Michigan.

More than 80 artist booths filled the Saturday with artists from as near as Shelby Township and as far away as Clermont, FL.

The art fair was filled with children, families and several generations of women looking to spend the day together and maybe a little dough in the meantime.

As the crowds made their way from the food tents to the art tents and back for a little kettle corn, they were entertained with soft music from a variety of live bands.

While the parents shopped, children had a ball with the Palace of Auburn Hills Cheer squad, bounce houses and even live safety demonstrations from the .

The fair is open until 5 p.m. Saturday and again from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

But get there early because the municipal grounds parking lot fills up quickly. The parking lot was so full that a shuttle bus has been set up to take drivers back and forth from the Senior Center, located behind the .
