Schedule: Here's What to Expect at the St. Lawrence Apple Fest Sept. 7-9

Patch has a schedule of events for the 20th Annual St. Lawrence Apple Fest Sept. 7-9.

Organizers of the 20th Annual St. Lawrence Apple Fest are hoping this year's festival, which runs Sept. 7-9, will be the biggest and best ever.

Last year, more than 10,000 people visited the three-day festival located on the grounds in Utica. This year, the church is hoping the 20-year tradition of food, games, fun and of course apples, will attract an even larger crowd.

It's a toss-up as to who will have more fun: the adults or the children.  For the adults, entertainment includes the ever-popular beer tent, live bands day-and-night and a spinning money wheel.

The musical highlight of the festival will be Friday when the band Nightline, which includes several former Temptations, takes the stage at 8 p.m.

Authentic Italian and Polish food stands will line the outside of the tent, and of course, there are plenty of apple treats to be had, from pies to caramel apples.

The young kids can be entertained for hours with the classic carnival rides and games, and the children's tent, which will feature plenty of colorful balloon animals, face painting, clowns, candy and games.
