Viewfinder: Creative, Chocolatey Fun Family Event

About 20 families gathered at the Plaster Playhouse in Shelby Saturday morning to spend time creating and enjoying all kinds of chocolate creations.

This past Saturday, the Plaster Playhouse hosted Mom, Me and the Chocolate Factory, an event centered on creativity, family and chocolate.

The event was organized by Program Leader Michelle Duda, and Plaster Playhouse Center Director Lisa Frizzle.

Moms and their children painted plaster mugs and designed them using their own fingerprints. Mugs were left at the Plaster Playhouse, where staff will bake the mugs so that the paint colors will become vibrant. Families are able to pick up their mugs on designated pick-up days.

After painting, families were treated to a buffet of chocolate goodies, including hot cocoa, chocolate truffles, Oreos and more.

Be sure to visit the Plaster Playhouse website for more information about their ongoing creative classes and events for families.
