Candy Bouquet, Shelby's New Sweet Shop, Gears Up For Record Week
Shelby Township's new sweet kid on the block, Candy Bouquet, offers Valentine shoppers a delicious gift alternative.
A Shelby Township family is bringing, cute, comforting and most importantly, delicious candy bouquets to the area.
Mother and daughter duo Denise Laethem-Bazinet and Lauren Laethem opened the first franchise in Michigan in December on Hayes Road, between Hall Road and 21 Mile Road.
Now, they are gearing up for their busiest day of the year–Valentine Day.

All chocolates sold at Candy Bouquet are preservative-free and individually wrapped. And the best part is, all chocolates can be sampled before they’re added to a bouquet arrangement.
The mother and daughter duo are no strangers to working together. Leathem-Bazinet, 57, still works as the office manager at Zion Christian Church in Troy and her daughter, 33, is the preschool director there.
“Not all mothers and daughters are fortunate like we are to get along but we’ve been blessed to have a great relationship. She’s a wonderful partner,” said Leathem-Bazinet.
