Tick Tock: Unclaimed Lottery Ticket Bought in Shelby Set to Expire Today

The winner of a $213,745 Lottery ticket bought at a Shelby Township gas station is set to expire Feb. 8. by 5 p.m.

A lottery player who bought a winning Fantasy 5 ticket worth $213,745 at a Shelby Township BP Station could miss out on the prize if they fail to claim their winnings by Wednesday.

The winning ticket was purchased Feb. 8, 2011, at the BP Station located at 55052 Van Dyke Avenue. The winner has until 5 p.m. today to claim their prize.

The winning numbers are 12-25-27-37-39. To claim the prize, players must present the original ticket in Lansing. Contact the Michigan Lottery’s public relations division at 517-373-1237 to set up an appointment.

If the prize goes unclaimed, the money will be deposited into the state School Aid Fund, which is the beneficiary of all lottery profits.

More than 95 percent of every dollar spent on lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund.
