Utica's Newest Boutique Gets Warm Welcome

Pretty Things in downtown Utica sells women's clothing and jewelry.

Utica's newest boutique on the block got a warm welcome from its neighbors, the mayor and the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Pretty Things, owned by Clothing Consultant Von, officially opened its doors in downtown Utica in February, but was welcomed as the newest member of the chamber.

The clothing store specializes in "cute, class, comfortable, affordable ladies clothing and jewelry."

Von, of Eastpointe, said her store appeals to woman of all ages looking for unique and fun clothes and accessories.

Pretty Things is located at 7660 Auburn Rd. It's closed on Sunday through Tuesday and open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The store is the second boutique to open in Utica this year. In fact, Von told Patch the owners of It's So Me Boutique, which is directly across the street, suggested the location for her new store.

Utica is quickly becoming a hot spot for women looking to do a little boutique shopping and dining.
