Walsh Offers 'Mini-MBA' Education to Boost Your Business Savvy

Walsh Institute shows their own business savvy and offers Utica residents a deal that helps people learn the basic principles of the business world.

With today’s tough economy and even tougher job market, a division of Walsh College known as Walsh Institute is offering classes to give you the edge going in to your next interview.

As part of their “Mini-MBA” program, their Business 360 classes help to teach business people who lack formal training about the basic principles, fundamental concepts and language of today’s business world.

“The program is designed for those who are educated in other fields such as liberal arts or engineering, and find themselves working and even leading smaller companies and need basic business acumen,” said Jan Hubbard, Walsh Institute Leadership Center director.

This basic business knowledge will be administered over a seven-week period with 14 evening sessions starting September 26. Looking for an even smaller dose or just want to freshen up on a specific topic? All classes can be taken individually at the Walsh College Troy campus.

The classes are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6–9:30 p.m. While there are no admissions requirements, no prerequisites, exceptional computer skills, homework or tests, there are built-in networking opportunities through the class.
