Christian Financial Credit Union Donates to Local Church for Families in Need

ROSEVILLE, Mich., (December 20, 2013) – Christian Financial Credit Union doesn’t want any family to go without a meal this Christmas. That’s why, every year, they donate thousands of dollars’ worth of food and gift cards to local churches, including St. Kieran Catholic Church in Shelby. The churches, in turn, donate the food baskets and gift cards to those in need.

“No family should have to miss a Christmas meal this year,” said Patty Campbell, President and CEO of Christian Financial Credit Union. “We work with our churches every year to help them meet needs in our communities. They are always grateful, and it is one of the most rewarding things we do all year.”

Christian Financial employees competed in early December to develop the most creative food baskets. Staff brought in thousands of dollars’ worth of non-perishable food items to donate to the cause. In addition, Christian Financial matched the non-perishable donations with $1,000 in Meijer gift cards for perishable food items. Baskets and gift cards were presented to 13 local churches and Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team (MCREST).
