Spotlight on Health for Macomb County Seniors

The Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the City of Sterling Heights have once again partnered to offer their 16th Annual Senior Expo for the residents of Macomb County. This year’s even runs from 9 am till noon on Thursday, September 19 at the Sterling Heights Senior Activity Center located at 40200 Utica Road, Sterling Heights.

“Over 60 various health service exhibitors will hand out items related to senior needs as well as educational literature,” states Patty LeDuc, Committee Chair and Chamber Communications Coordinator.  “What a great opportunity to attend all under one roof”.  Vision screening, old medication disposal, podiatrist, blood pressure checks, stroke screening, balance testing and hearing screenings, just a few of the free services that will be offered.  Speakers include Andrea Philips with topic “Knowing the difference when to go to the Emergency Room or Urgent Care” and Sunny Jeffries with topic “Accident Prevention and Home Safety”.  An event booklet and free healthy snack bag to the first 700 seniors.
