FL Man Charged with Fondling Granddaughter
The following arrest information was supplied by the Utica Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A 70-year-old man accused of fondling his 11-year-old granddaughter inside of a Utica hotel last week was arraigned Tuesday on charges of criminal sexual conduct, second-degree.
The man was arraigned in 41-A District Court Tuesday on the charges, which carry a penalty of up to 15 years in prison.
He was released on a $100,000 personal bond under the conditions that he has no contact with the victim and her family and that he does not leave Michigan.

The man was arrested after his daughter, a 37-year-old Macomb Township woman, came to the police station on Aug. 28 with her 11-year-old daughter and told police that her father had inappropriately touched her daughter inside of the .
The woman said her father had come into town to take the girl and her 13-year-old brother on a vacation for a week.

The girl was not hospitalized and her grandfather was charged based on accusations she made during a police interview.
"Basically, what we’re talking about here is a fondling," said Utica Police Chief Dave Faber.
