Fuel Report: Gas Prices Jump to $4.09 After Holiday Weekend

Finding you the best gas prices in and around Shelby Township and Utica.

The holiday weekend is officially over, but local gas prices are skyrocketing Tuesday morning.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $4.09 this morning, up almost 15 cents from last week's average of $3.95.

Some of the lowest gas prices in and around southeastern Michigan can be found in Macomb, at the Kroger Fuel Center, located at 16450 26 Mile Road for $3.84 and the Sunoco station at 14 Mile and Utica, where gas is $3.83 a gallon, and the Marathon station at Utica and Groesbeck, where gas is $3.87 a gallon.

In Shelby Township and Utica, meanwhile, the cheapest gas you're going to find is $4.03 at the Speedway on Auburn Road.
