Get Out: Fashion Show At Empire Lounge, Practice St. Paddy's Day Drinking

This week Shelby-Utica has the roundup for cool and fun events in town.


Where/When: , Thursday, March 10, at 1 pm.
Why Go: It's never too early to think spring, or shady, green back yard. Shelby Gardeners Club is holding a program on the "Most Underused Trees and Shrubs," where you'll learn about some great options for your yard.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: Empire Lounge, March 11, 5 pm-2 am.
Why Go: You'll be styling at this most fashionable of events. See the newest trends and watch models strut the catwalk. Plus you'll enjoy drink specials and more.
Pricing: No cover. Reservations are being taken for dinner, but they're almost full, so hurry.


Where/When: Macomb Center for Performing Arts, Friday, March 11, 8 pm.
Why Go: Get into the spirit of St. Patrick's Day with a show by the Irish Rovers; they'll perform beloved songs like "The Unicorn" and more.
Pricing: $37-52, with discounts for seniors, students, military and Macomb Community College staff.


Where/When: Sherwood Brewing Company, Saturday, March 12, 9 am-1 am.
Why Go: If you're itching for some Irish fun a little early, or feel a need to warm up for the big green day, then stop here. The day begins with Keggs and Breakfast, and continues with food and drink specials all day and evening long, and Celtic music a night.
Pricing: Depends on what you spend.

Why Go: This fun event, which includes buffet dinner, open bar, live music and a shot at great prizes, benefits the Central Optimist Club, benefiting the Macomb Charitable Foundation.
