Where/When: Villa Penna, 43985 Hayes, Sterling Heights; Friday, April 1,  6-11 p.m. 
Why Go: The Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its golden anniversary — that's right, 50 years, and they're doing it in style.The party includes dinner, dancing and premium bar.

Where/When: 5 Star Lanes, 2666 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights; Friday, April 1, 6:30-9 p.m.
Why Go: Macomb Community College students of H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Professional Enterprise) is holding a fundraiser at the bowling alley to buy their ticket to New Orleans to continue to help rebuild homes and more for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Pricing: $20 gets you two games, shoe rental, all-you-can-eat pizza and pop.

Where/When: , 44575 Garfield, Clinton Township; Friday-Saturday, April 1 and 2, 8 p.m.
Why Go:  See MOMIX Botanica, blending dance, music, and sounds, from birdsong to Vivaldi. Described in many ways, from following the rhythm of the seasons, to the evolution of the world or the passing of a single day, it's a vibrant, exciting mix of dance and music that's not to be missed.
Pricing:  $42 gold circle; $37 house; $5 discount per ticket for seniors 55+, military, and students and Macomb Community College staff.

Where/When: Octagon House, 57500 Van Dyke, Washington Township; Saturday, April 2, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Why Go: The Michigan State University Extension presents local speaker Cheryl English, who will be at the Octagon House to present a lecture on wildflowers and how they're perfect for Michigan gardens. Some gardeners might be leery of wildflowers, but English will reveal how they can be beautiful and beneficial to you yard.
Pricing: $5 per person.


Where/When: Hepburn's Crepes and Coffee; Sunday, April 3, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy coffee and a sweet or savory crepe (there are plenty to choose from) and indulge in the eatery's Bravo Brunch Series, as classical guitarist Peter Sarfati provides the soundtrack to a soothing Sunday.
