Get Out This Weekend and See a Comedy Show

It’s Thursday, and you’re wondering what there is to do.

Look no further. We’ve got the best bets for the weekend, from gardening gems to comedy to romance to good causes, they're all here.

Where/When: Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center, Thursday, Feb. 10, at 1 pm.
Why Go: It’s never too early to think spring, and the Shelby Gardeners Club is bringing in an expert from Perennial Enhancements to clue you in on hidden and underrated perennials.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: Hepburn’s Crepe and Coffee, Saturday, Feb 12, beginning at 5 pm.
Why Go: Live classical guitar, candlelight dinner. Need we say more?
Pricing: $25 per couple.

Where/When: Cherry Creek Golf Club, Saturday, Feb. 12, from 6 pm-12 am.
Why Go: This annual “Red Hot Night” benefits the Great Lakes Burn Camp. The evening includes dinner, open bar, dancing, raffles, silent auction and more.
Pricing: $125 per couple.

Where/When: The Palazzo Grande, Saturday, Feb. 12, beginning at 6 pm.
Why Go: It’s the 21st annual “Bids for Kids” event, which raises money for local children’s needs. Enjoy live and silent auctions for plenty of cool stuff, and enjoy great food and drinks all evening long.
Pricing: $65 per couple.

Where/When: Empire Lounge, Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 8 pm.
Why Go: For the laughs, naturally. Empire has lined up a number of the area’s best comics, so drop in for drink specials and plenty of laughs.
