Subzero Wind Chills, More Snow Expected Friday

Another 2-4 inches of snow possible Friday afternoon and evening as cold front settles over southeast Michigan, says National Weather Service.

After Shelby and Utica received around an inch of snow Thursday morning, the area will again see measurable snowfall Friday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.

Snow is likely after 3 p.m. Friday, according to the weather service. Around an inch of snow could fall in the afternoon with an additional 1-3 inches possible Friday night.

In addition, icy cold temperatures will continue to grip southeastern Michigan through Friday; the weather service is predicting a high near 19 and a low around 13 degrees. Wind chill values as low as -1 degree are possible throughout much of the day.

Saturday will be slightly warmer with a high near 25 and a low around 23; additional snowfall is not expected Saturday.
