Wake Up, Shelby and Utica: July 6

Here's some news you need to know to get your morning started.

Wednesday is here, and Shelby-Utica Patch has the news to get your day started.

  1. Keep an eye on the skies today because there is a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. The high is expected to reach 86 degrees.
  2. Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel spoke at the Shelby Township Board of Trustees meeting last night, and Patch was there.
  3. Check another You Said It as we bring you more of what people like about Stony Creek Metropark. (And please feel free to voice your opinion, too.)
  4. We take a look at another cool bar with an outdoor patio as we highlight Shamrock Irish Pub. Once again, we’d love to hear where you like to unwind.
  5. Do you need motivation to stay fit? Then sign up for the race, which will take place at Riverbends Park on July 23. It’s for a good cause, too: the Special Olympics.
