Wake Up Shelby, Utica: Time To Go Back to School!

Today is the day we pack our kids off for their first day back to school.

• Most kids will return to school to see some new teachers and staff members. At Patch, we went ahead and profiled some of the new UCS staff members. Meet new Monfort Elementary School Principal Karen Zimmerman.

• The Shelby Township Board of Trustees will meet tonight at 7 p.m. At the meeting, they will discuss a report that recommends the police department shave $1 million from its operational costs.
