What's on Tap at Stony This Fall? Wagon Rides and Owls

Check out the fall wagon ride and owl fun at Stony Creek this fall.

If you love the outdoors as much as me, and love spending time at Stony Creek, check out the Metroparks fall lineup of spooktacular events.

“Moonlight Wagon Rides,” Fridays, October 5, 12 19 & 26 at 7:30 pm, Nature Center. Come and enjoy the beauty of the fall season with a nature wagon ride through woods and fields, then gather around the fire ring for music, cider and donuts. Fee: $6 per person. Preregistration and prepayment required. Families and individuals only.

“Cub Scouts Moonlight Wagon Rides,” Wednesday, October 17 from 6 pm to 9 pm, Nature Center. This program, specially designed for Scouts and a parent (no siblings please), includes a Nature Center visit, a wagon ride through the woods and a bonfire with cider and donuts! Fee: $6 per person.  Preregistration and prepayment required and begins Monday, October 1.

“Girl Scouts Moonlight Wagon Rides,” Thursday, October 18 from 6 pm to 9 pm, Nature Center. This program, specially designed for Scouts and a parent (no siblings please), includes a Nature Center visit, a wagon ride through the woods and a bonfire with cider and donuts! Fee: $6 per person.  Preregistration and prepayment required and begins Monday, October 1. 

“Naturally It’s Howl ‘O’ Ween,” Saturday, October 20 at noon, Nature Center. Whoooo likes Halloween? We do! Join an interpreter for an afternoon of games, crafts and a chance to learn about (and see up close) some of Halloween’s spookiest animals!  There will also be a craft and slithery snake petting. Fee: $5 per child/$3 per adult. Preregistration required. Don’t forget to wear your costume!
